Privacy policy

PlaneSwing is a golf swing analysis app for iPhone. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how you can delete it.
What stays on your iPhone
Body tracking and swing analysis run on your device with Apple's Vision framework. The camera and microphone are used only to record your swings when you press record. PlaneSwing doesn't use your location, contacts or advertising identifier.
What PlaneSwing stores in its cloud
- Your account: you sign in with Apple. PlaneSwing receives a private account identifier from Apple and, if you choose to share it, your email address (which may be an Apple private relay address).
- Your swings: swing videos, key-position frames, measurements, scores, club and camera details, favourites and notes are backed up so they're safe if you change phones.
This data is stored with Cloudflare (Workers, D1 and R2), which processes it on PlaneSwing's behalf. Each account can only reach its own swings. The developer can view stored swings to operate and improve the app, for example to fix analysis bugs.
Optional coaching
If you ask for AI coaching tips, the measurements for that swing (not the video or your name) are sent to Anthropic's Claude through Cloudflare AI Gateway to write the tips.
What PlaneSwing doesn't do
No ads, no tracking across other apps or websites, no selling or sharing of your data for marketing.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data is kept while your account exists. In the app, Settings → Delete account permanently deletes your account and every swing, video and frame stored in the cloud. Signing out removes your swings from that iPhone; they stay in your account until you delete it. You can also email support@planeswing.app to ask for a copy or deletion of your data.
Children
PlaneSwing isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
